Doug Keare – Co-Founder, CEO

Doug Keare co-founded Vivecoach to help companies address the crushing problems of escalating healthcare costs stemming from poor employee health. He believes companies need to decide why they care about health and wellness and then focus on things they can control like work environment, job design, and enabling certain employee behaviors. In addition to his CEO duties, Doug focuses on hiring amazing people and making sure Vivecoach is one step ahead in bringing gaming to corporate wellness.

Over the past two decades, Doug worked as an executive at healthcare technology companies ADAC Labs, Accuray, and Med-Vantage and was a founder of two consumer-facing internet startups. He then decided to merge his two areas of interest and build a company that uses consumer UI and technology to help people improve their health.

Doug has a BA in Economics from Dartmouth and an MBA from Stanford University. He spent his childhood in Malaysia, Bangladesh and Washington, D.C., and finally migrated west to the Bay Area, where he lives with his wife and three rapidly maturing kids. He tries to find time for basketball, skiing, cooking, and battling bugs and blight to grow killer tomatoes.
